as two medium-sized practices, we feel that our chances of survival are declining. a key part of the government’s initiative “gp forward view” is that we are to look to the future. locally we feel that bigger practices will be more able to meet the needs of our patient population. why martonside medical centre? martonside medical centre is an established practice that we know well. we have worked with them on different projects over the years. they have privately rented premises which have not suffered the huge increase in service charges that we have suffered. as a merged entity, we will more chance of gaining much needed funds from the local nhs. what does this mean for me? we will run as two separate practices, there will be two separate patient lists and two separate sets of premises. however, the gps will share responsibilities as well as sharing the risks that the current difficult financial conditions present. we will be stronger together. where can i be seen?
